No WSJ award for the Swiss innovators!

There is a big disappointment as the Swiss did not get a single innovation award in this year's WSJ rankings

Is the lack of VC really to blame? The innovations that were celebrated in previous years were very much early-stage and not VC-funded. Now, maybe the lack of VC funding stopped some good projects from emerging, but it may more have to do with the end of a program like CREATE??
